We put the litter box in the laundry room, & have a gate in the
POT POT
doorway (if you shut the door, the cat can not get in either!).

I wouldn't put locks on the dresser drawers just yet, unless he plays in

there as well. Save yourself that trouble until later, you may find it is

never an issue.

If you are worried about him climbing, you should make sure all the
shelves & tall furniture are secured to the wall so they can not fall
forward.

I've never seen any kind of device for baby-proofing closet doors, but you
could try putting a pin through them so they won't slide. Or, take them
down completely & put a curtain up instead.

One thing I like is hiding the cords to the computer. We have two desks, &
one of them has all the cords hidden behind a big sheet of plywood that is
attached to the back legs of the desk. The other we have a power-strip
lock, which covers all the plugs.

They say that the best way to find out what you need to do is to crawl
around & see what is at ur baby is eye level. You see stuff then that you
normally won't see.

You can put a dowel or a broken broom/mop handle in the track
Bubbles
of the sliding doors. It may be a good idea to put the locks on the

dresser, & also secure it to the wall if you suspect the baby will ever

climb it. You may consider getting a covered litter box & turn the opening

toward the wall, or as the others said, put it up. Usually putting it in

another room isn't a good idea because cats often consider that spot to be
the proper toilet area & will simply go where the box was. Putting it up or
under something big enough for the cat to get to the litter would be fine.
Just think, another few months & the baby will advance to pulling its self
up, toddling, & then walking, & you will be looking for advise on how to
corral the kid. *smile*

they're open, she can not open them herself just yet. The litterbox needs

to be in a room he can not get to. You may need to teach the cat to
''ask'' to go - because there is no other way to get it into the room if
you close the door all the time.

The only one I have a suggestion for is the litter box. Since
Cabbage Patch
the baby will only be crawling at that point, all you need is to keep the

litter box in, say the bathroom, and keep the door shut. After they start

I didn't have a problem with my son getting in to anything in his room

at that age, because he wasn't in there alone. Once he starts opening
drawers and such, the best ones to babyproof are ones in the kitchen.
